Due to moving into a smaller property im reluctantly having to sell on my awesome home cinema system. This system cost me well in excess of £2,000 but the sound it produces is mind blowing. Forget going to the cinema, this system sounds far better than that! Put saving private Ryan in and its like there are bullets whistling past your ears, and rumbling subsonic explosions in the distance. Turn the volume up a little, and you can even feel the explosions, turn it up a bit more and you can feel your insides jiggling about when a tank rumbles by. Of course, it's just as awesome on lower volumes, but it never fails to impress friends, whether they have watched a film with you before or not. I have no room to even store this now so by necessity it's in my bedroom, which isn't ideal as I'm disabled and its in the way. For that reason, and that reason alone, im selling this system at a stupid price for a quick sale, and believe me, anyone that sees it will want it and I don't expect to have it advertised for long before it goes, so get in quick. Anyone who knows a bit about Hi-Fi will know that KEF are high end speakers, not the sort of tat that's made to look good, but can't live up to expectations. The centre speaker alone cost me over £400. The speakers included are as follows: One pair of KEF Q55.2, 150 Watt Two and a Half Way Bass Reflex Floor Standing Speakers (Front Speakers) One pair of KEF Q15.2, 100 Watt Two Way Bass Reflex Speaker on beautiful stands (Rear Speakers) One KEF Q95c, 100 Watt Two Way Sealed Box Speaker (Centre Speaker) Additional, there is a gut wrenching Yamaha YST-SW800 Advanced Active Servo Processing Subwoofer, with an output of 800 Watts (Yes, 800 Watts)! I did test listening on over a dozen of the best available subwoofers before deciding on this one). Note: the only fault I could pick with this, is that the mains cable was a little short, so I've extended that. Next up is the amplifier, which is a truly fantastic DENON AVR-3802. The sound quality from this, through the KEF speakers is just beautiful, whether you're listening to music, or using it for home cinema. It has more than enough inputs on the back for whatever you want to attach to it, so it is really versatile. I used it for my Blu Ray, Sky TV, Normal TV, CD player for music, and my grandsons Playstation and X-Box and there was plenty more inputs still available if i needed them for anything else. Output is 150 Watts a channel at 6 Ohms or 105 watts a channel at 8 Ohms. The KEF speakers are 8 Ohms, which will give you a total output of 525 Watts. However, the amp is capable of playing Dolby digital 6.1 and 7.1, so if you added another 4 speakers to play in 7.1 you would have a total of 945 Watts. If you don't like your neighbours this amp is Definitely for you! Thankfully it sounds mind blowingly gorgeous at lower levels too. Everything is in very good condition and has been well looked after, and I still have all the manuals which are in mint condition. One more thing I will include as a bonus is a set of High End gold banana plug connectors for the speaker connections which alone cost over £100. I'm including these because it's by far the best and easiest way to connect all the speakers up. I've included enough to bi-wire the speakers (you can wire the speakers with the standard 2 wires, or you can use 4 wires for each speaker and wire the Bass and tweeters separately for improved sound). Finally, I have kept my old 4 wire 100% pure copper cables if you would like them as well. They will need a wipe over, and the ends will have to be re-trimmed before you attach the banana plugs. Most people prefer to choose their own speaker cables, but you are welcome to take these to save you some money if you prefer to do so. The cables were from Richer Sounds if you have a larger room and need to buy any longer ones. DON'T HANG AROUND! IF YOU WANT THIS, GET IT BOUGHT QUICKLY BECAUSE IT WON'T BE AVAILABLE LONG, AND THERE'S A VERY REAL CHANCE I WILL CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT SELLING IT AS WELL, I'M HEART BROKEN HAVING TO LET IT GO! * Please note that I have heart problems and won't be able to help you carry this equipment down the stairs and into your car, so it might be a good idea to bring someone along to help you do that.
